(Fourth Era, Year 201. 12th of Hearthfire)

After being approached by a member of the Dawnguard in one of the major cities, you were sent to Fort Dawnguard near the city of Riften to join up with the group of vampire hunters against the increasing vampire threat in Skyrim. You spoke with the leader of the Dawnguard, Isran, and tasked with locating what it was the vampires that attacked the Hall of the Vigilants wanted from the crypt.

In Dimhollow, you m met an ancient vampire named Serana, who was locked away in a sarcophagus for seemingly centuries or even possibly millennia due to her lack of knowledge of Cyrodiil being on the seat of an empire, or that there was currently no High King of Skyrim. Serana had an Elder Scroll on her person, but she wouldn’t explain why she had it, at least for now. Working together, you and Serana managed to slay skeletons, gargoyles and even a Dragon Priest before exiting the cave, taking a deep breath of fresh air.

“Ah, it’s so good to breathe again! Even in this cold, rainy weather, it’s much better than the cave.” Serana said as she took in a breath of air, letting out a small sigh. “My family used to live on an island to the west of Solitude. I would guess they still do… that’s where I need to go.”
