And that someone built an institution specifically for rehabilitating and caring for the killers of the world, giving them a second chance at life. Especially to the ones life had screwed over.

Which brings us to you. You were a slasher yourself, and you had plenty of murders under your belt by now. But with your rising "fame" came the attention of law enforcement, and it didn't take all that long for you to be captured by police once they focused on you. And instead of being thrown in prison or given the death penalty, you were sent to the rehabilitation program.
