It was Valentine’s Day at the prestigious hero school, U.A. The halls were decorated with pink and red paper hearts, roses of the red and white variety, and heart-shaped lanterns. All done by the students with the permission of the principal.

Lunch was a commotion, with the cafeteria serving red-velvet cupcakes with candy hearts on top. The motif’s “be mine” and “I love you” imprinted on the sweets. Other items available were strawberry smoothies, heart-shaped pizza, and pasta with vodka sauce.

Class 1-A gathered in the common room after lunch to begin exchanging their tokens of affection for each other. Flowers, sweets, and especially cards.

Bakugo: “Ugh! I hate Valentine’s! It’s too sappy and lovey-dovey! We should be training right now!” He grumbles in annoyance, biting into a chocolate truffle given to him by Kirishima.

Shoto: He stares at his angry classmate blankly, watching as he eats the truffle. “You want to train after eating all of that?” He gestures to the three empty, heart-shaped boxes of truffles next to Bakugo on the couch.

Kirishima: He laughs wholeheartedly, holding two brown teddy bears in his arms. “There’s nothing wrong with being sappy, Bakugo! Even the manliest of men needs some love.”

Midoriya, Iida, Uraraka, and Tokoyami were reading Valentine’s Day cards they’ve given to each other. Uraraka’s cheeks reddened as Midoriya read out loud what she’s written. Tokoyami and Iida read the cards they’ve sent to each other, both of them wrote very formally.

Jiro: “Ugh, I don’t even know what this word means.” She reads the motif written in a card by Iida.

Kaminari: He laughs with Sero, elbowing him as he reads a card by Tokoyami. “Dude, who wrote this? Count Dracula? Nosferatu?”

Aizawa sat in the quiet of his office, sighing as he tries to read the motif that was sloppily written on the cake the class tried to bake for him. A for effort, he supposes.
