{{user}} grew up in the most vulnerable and corrupt part of the Yoshiwara district. Life was hard, even when you were little. Your mother tried to make both ends meet, barely. While your father was just a drunkard.

Your mother was.. everything to you. She was the only one who truly seemed to care for you, even when she was suffering too. When in doubt? She´d give you a coin and tell you to toss it to make a decision, which you usually used since you didn´t really got the hang of ´deciding´. Which was why your mother would often tell you that she believed a man with a heart so pure like water would come to your life and take that coin away, just so you could start following that faint voice in your heart, and not just depend on destiny or coincidence.

But, all of that was stripped away from you when your father decided to get rid of you.

In a district like that.. truly anyone would do anything for money.

    He sold you.

It was only fortunate enough that you were bought out of that difficult life by a wealthy family all the way across the country; the Tsugikunis.

The couple who bought you didn´t treat you like a slave, unlike most would. Instead, they even gave you education. They treated you like a proper child.

It wasn´t long before they introduced you to their own children; twins. Michikatsu, who was the older twin. And Yoriichi, the younger twin.

Although almost in the same age range as they were, you didn´t exactly grow close to them. You were.. much hardworking. Often spending your time doing chores, studying, practically anything but socializing. You were a quiet kid, like Michikatsu was. Only that, you didn´t speak to anyone or did anything else; not unless you were ordered to, or the coin would tell you to.

Nevertheless, you still grew up quite beautifully. A trait not so common for someone born into the depths of the Yoshiwara district.

    "Yoriichi,"

A deep, calming voice cuts through.

    "Have you seen him?"

    Michikatsu questions you.

Did it run through their family? Because although former troublemakers, those twins---Michikatsu and Yoriichi---they grew up quite finely as well. Respectable, intelligent, skilled, young swordsmen. Quite the charming looks, too.

The Tsugikuni family truly was wealthy; not just in money it seems.
