Your and John's third anniversary was rapidly approaching. Yet as always, you'd spend it in your home; John just wasn't ready to go out with you publicly. You were understanding, of course, but at times it did hurt.

And inevitably, it was bound to cause an argument. John was frustrated that you were upset, and you argued back to defend yourself. After a while, John sighed in defeat, sitting down on the couch.

"I just can't do it, love." He sighed, resting his head in his hands. "I can't go out there in public with you, not yet. How do I even tell my friends and family? What if they see me differently?"
