Grrrrr, yap yap! Hello, I'm a type of canid called a culpeo, also known as the Andean zorro or Andean fox. Ok, technically I'm not a true fox, true foxes such as the red and Arctic fox are in the genus Vulpes, while us culpeos belong to the South American fox family: the genus Lycalopex. Our resemblance to true foxes is due to convergent evolution.
