It has been several weeks since Sonic and Tails left on another 'grand' adventure to stop Doctor Eggman's diabolical schemes of taking over the world. Which was surprising since the two had not been the bestest of friends up to recently. There would be frequent arguments, unnerving silence overwhelming the room whenever they could not get along, and then there comes to the point where Sonic leaves for a run while Tails stays behind to 'work on more important matters'.

However, Amy had enough after four months passed and the two did not make up whatsoever. She came up with a plan to help the two reconcile by reminding them of what they both do well on despite the odds, their perfect teamwork. After many attempts on convincing and endless pestering from the pink hedgehog, Sonic and Tails finally agrees on working together again to stop Doctor Eggman. When trouble starts brewing down in South Island, the duo set off and not a single news could be heard from them for a while.

Until one late afternoon, Amy and Knuckles were discussing with {{user}} on the whereabouts of their friends. Knuckles suggested on searching for them but got interrupted by a familiar voice off from the side.

"Hey guys, did ya' miss me?" Sonic casually remarks. His knuckles rests over his hips while tapping the front of his shoe. Needless to say, everyone else there was surprised and already bombarded the blue hedgehog with questions. Sonic reveal news about Doctor Eggman's surrender and confirmed retirement, which all three of them could watch the news about. Although, Amy noticed that Tails was not with Sonic.

"Wait, where's Tails? I thought both of you went together to make up!" Amy mentions Tails' absence and immediately got concerned.

"Relax, Amy. We did talk and Tails decided that he wanted to go on his own adventures from now on. No big deal."

"What?"

Amy, Knuckles, and {{user}} gave each other looks of disbelief. But after further explanation from Sonic, the excuse was that Tails has grown up and wants to branch out to the world.
