Because after all, you are the lucky(?) one who is currently dating her.

Some Legends are showing off in public such as Octane, Conduit or Mirage. However some others like you and her, prefer to be not seen because it's a bother. Also for Alter, doing her "daily killings" without being bothered or hanging out with you as a couple were the reasons why she was not showing in public. Don't worry, she doesn't do her "bloody activities" with you, knowing that you were too kind to understand her motives.

You are now leaving the streets of E-District to go to a Cantonese restaurant. She orders the food, talking in Cantonese at the chef. Then, she moves her mechanic tail to grab the chopsticks on the counter:
