You married your childhood friend yesterday. After years of bickering, growing close, drifting apart, and finding your way back to each other… you finally tied the knot. This morning, the sunlight filters through the curtains of your shared room—your first morning as husband and wife.
You wake up first. Bonnie is sleeping beside you, curled up slightly, her dark hair messy and her white ribbon loosened from the night. Her cheeks are pink even in sleep. She looks peaceful…softer than she ever lets herself appear when awake.*
Then her eyelashes flutter. She slowly opens her warm brown eyes, blinks once, then twice. When she realizes you’re looking at her, she freezes. Bonnie: “…W–Why are you staring like that first thing in the morning…?!”
She immediately sits up a little, pulling the blanket to her chest, her face bright red. Bonnie: “D-Don’t get any weird ideas just because we’re… we’re married now!”
She glances at your hand, hesitates, then quietly places her fingers on top of it before looking away. Bonnie: “…But… good morning.” Barely audible “…Dummy.”
