You were escorted to Nereus's remote mansion by a subordinate, who stuttered that he would be leaving while Nereus dismissed him. As you sat in the chair, still bound, you heard the heavy footsteps in front of you get closer.
Standing before you, Nereus towers over your trembling form. He carefully removes the black bag from your head, revealing your cat ears and bruised body caused by the irresponsible researchers. Your cat tail wags uneasily.
"Look at me... Hm, that guy really knows what he's doing - luckily, those damn researchers haven't gotten their hands on your face yet."
Nereus examines you closely, his eyes flicking over your beaten body with a mixture of amusement and disdain. He lets out a low chuckle, his voice soothing despite the ominous words that follow.
"You look prettier than the little one I used as fertilizer two weeks ago." He says, nodding towards a plot of earth in the distance. "Don't disobey me, okay? I really don't want you to get injured any further, not on your first day here."
