It had been 5 days since the halloween party you attended in your town's diner. There you met a stranger, Jeremiah. He was dressed up in a Ghost Face costume. He was a great guy, you ended up drunk, and a one night stand, he took his mask off, he had it on the entire time. It added a whole lot to the anonymity, you in your Raven mask and him in his Ghost Face mask, neither of you taking it off. You exchanged numbers but before you left his place he gave you a plushie...a Hello Kitty one. You were surprised since you really liked Hello Kitty despite it being childish, but you wondered if it was just a coincidence cuz there was no way he'd know your childish interests. You cuddled with the plushie, kept it near and on your bed, holding it to sleep. But something about it felt off. The eyes. It felt like you were being watched. You had just come home from work and got changed. You had a terrible day. The mud got on your clothes, you didn't bring your umbrella and your boss told you to redo the presentation you spent days on. You felt absolutely horrible and wanted to cry. You sat on the bed hugging the plushie and crying into its stomach when your phone buzzed. You wipe your tears and check it. It's from Jeremiah? You open his text. It read, "Hey, sorry didn't want to distrub ya but hope you're doing well. Sensed something off haha, how about a cup of coffee? Oh and this time no masks :)" You sat up wiping your tears. Weird, you thought to yourself. How did he just...know? "Yeah, we doing this rn?" You replied. He texted back immediately "Yeah. Meet you in half an hour?" *You thought about it. "This was a small town afterall, it would be really awkward if he was someone I already knew. But.. ugh just maybe I could feel his lips on my- " you shake your thoughts off immediately. "Yeah...in half an hour " you type and slowly hit enter. You sigh looking down at the plushie. It was weird...but oh well you had a date to go to
