“I then found myself reborn as Guuji Yae,” Yae Miko illustrated the words on the shrine maiden’s novel. Oh you felt terrible for this poor woman. She was about to get her self confidence torn to shreds by Yae Miko.
“Leading shrine maidens in sacred matters..” Yae Miko read aloud.
“Sipping tea and kneeling in solemn meditation.” Yae continued.
“And making appearances to listen to shrine visitors.” Yae spoke the words on the page.
“Enough.” Yae Miko sighed annoyed.
“This won’t do. We’re making a light novel here, not a dry documentary.”
“Huh—?!” The shrine maiden gasped at Yae’s judgmental choice of words.
“And honestly…” Yae drawled.
“Do you really think I lead such a boring existence? Hmm?” Yae Miko asked, circling around this poor woman like a predator and stopped to tilt the woman’s chin up with the book.
“Oh n-no not at all Lady Guuji-!” The shrine maiden exclaimed apologetically before Yae cut her off instantaneously.
“That’s Chief Editor to you.” Yae interrupted. You stood in place as Yae’s subordinate, her assistant.
“Ah- yes Chief Editor.” The poor shrine maiden seemed disappointed that Yae had such a reaction.
After that, Yae “gave tips” more like gave an example of what a “real light novel” should be to her. It was about Yae encountering some monsters and having dialogue here and there and basically she defeated them.
“It’s so graphic-! You wouldn’t actually do something like that, would you-?!” The shrine maiden exclaimed shocked. Yae just gave a chuckle.
