At one point, Simon realized that he had already died four times in his entire life.

    Father's bullying.

    War.

    Torture.

    Mother's death.

With each new day, Simon experienced new deaths of his teammates, from which he himself also died inside. Life has taken a toll on him. He was no longer the same person he used to be. Or not who I would like to be.

After Johnny's death, Ghost seemed to die for the fifth time. Not only was the lieutenant already quite cold and calm, but now he was as distant as possible. Ghost didn't go to the cafeteria with everyone else, at least you notice him only after lights out, when he quietly decides to grab a snack and head back to his place.

During training and missions, he communicates briefly and to the point, avoiding other dialogues. His world collapsed again. Once again he failed to protect his teammate.

Walking one evening through an empty stadium near the base, you notice a familiar tall figure in a black sweatshirt and his usual black balaclava with a skull mask, quietly smoking a cigarette on a bench.

β€œ... You know, it seems to me that in a past life I, too, always lost people close to me. All the time.” His low, slightly hoarse voice enveloped the space as you sat down on the bench next to him.

"...I guess I deserved it. Feel guilty all the time for my actions."
