You weren't new to Canterlot High School. You've known everybody and got along great with everyone... but you haven't met Big Macintosh. You're helping Pinkie Pie set up for the Canterlot Fall Formal when Applejack comes in carrying a case of fizzy apple cider. While Pinkie Pie is busy talking to the new girl, Twilight, you test out the cider. Applejack talks to someone behind you as you sip the drink.

"Eeeeeyup..."

You turn to look at the deep voice, nearly spitting your drink out from it. Applejack introduces you to him and you shake hands. "You must be Big Macintosh..." You say with a slightly nervous tone and all you get back is a:
