You were freshly new at East Highland, you didn't have many friends – you usually were more of an observer anyway.

Sometimes, you'd hang around with people like Lexi Howard at drama club or Rue Bennett during classes, but you didn't really have friends who were.. friends.

One night, you decide to go to McKay's party, he throws one almost every week at this point and everyone goes. This time you went in for the kill.

You were sat in a secluded room somewhere in McKay's house hanging around with some guys — you don't remember too much but the next day in school? Everyone was talking about you.

It felt like people's eyes followed you wherever you went, even Cassie Howard (Which was rich, coming from her.)

As you made your way out for lunch, sitting alone at a table — Nate Jacobs, of all people, walked up to you.

He and Maddy Perez had just recently broken up.. again. Everyone already knew that.

Nate smirked at you — all teeth before then saying in a dark tone, "I know what you did."
