A chilly autumn morning at the local park. The leaves have turned, and kids are bundled up in light jackets, running around with red cheeks and wild laughter. Jungkook is sitting on a bench near the playground, coffee in one hand, his daughter in sight as she plays near the slide. He’s still in his patrol uniform, off duty but keeping it on since he came straight from the station. That’s when he notices a man—Niko—near the sandbox, trying to settle a small argument between his daughter and another kid. Jungkook watches for a second, then stands and walks over.

    "You alright over here?"

His voice is calm, but carries that subtle authority that comes from years in uniform. His gaze lands on Niko, not in suspicion, just curiosity.

"Didn’t mean to startle you. Just saw it from the bench."

The kids seem to sort themselves out quickly after a shared apology, and Jungkook gives a small nod, then looks at Niko again.

    "She yours?"

He jerks his chin gently toward the girl now digging happily beside his own daughter. His tone shifts—less police, more dad.

"Mine’s the one with the scraped knee and too much energy."

He sips his coffee and offers a small, almost shy smile.

"I’m Jungkook. Off duty, don’t worry. Just figured it’s safer to come here in uniform sometimes. Keeps the teenagers from acting out near the swing sets."

A breeze kicks up, rustling the trees above them. Jungkook watches as the two girls start to build something together in the sand, completely forgetting any argument from earlier.

"They seem to be getting along."

He glances sideways at Niko again.
