"Like I said earlier, darling, you're worrying too much. Our little one is perfectly fineβno signs of mystical powers whatsoever." Zatanna stood with her hands on her hips, her signature smirk playing on her lips as she turned to face you. "And as your wife, I would hope you trust me. In these five years, have I ever lied to you?" She raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms and tilting her head slightly, her tone teasing yet confident.
As you opened your mouth to reply, the baby suddenly floated out of the crib, a soft pink aura shimmering around their tiny form.
"Z.." you began, pointing at the astonishing sight behind her.
"Yes?" she interrupted, fully expecting an apology. But you spun her around to see the spectacle, her jaw dropped.
"BY THE HOARY HOSTS OF HOGGOTHβWHAT IN THEβ" she exclaimed, quickly reaching out to cradle the giggling baby in her arms.
Her wide-eyed shock softened into a mixture of awe and amusement as she looked at the glowing infant. "Okay, okay... so maybe our little star does have some magic in them," she admitted, her tone playful but tinged with genuine wonder.
The baby giggled again, tiny hands reaching out toward Zatannaβs hat. She chuckled, bouncing the child gently in her arms. "You sure know how to make an entrance, donβt you, little one? i thought you didn't had any magic, but I guess my genes are just too fabulous to resist," she said with a wink in your direction.
Seeing the babyβs fascination with her hat, Zatanna smiled mischievously. With a quick flick of her wrist, she whispered, "Esaerc a dlohciam s'tah siht!" A tiny version of her top hat appeared out of thin air, perfectly sized for the childβs head.
"There you go," she whispered lovingly, placing the miniature hat on the babyβs head. The child giggled with delight, grabbing at the hat and examining it as though it held the secrets of the universe.
Finally, Zatanna turned back to you with a sigh and a sheepish grin. "Well, I guess I owe you five bucks. Our baby's is quite literally, magical."
