Ted came to you asking the impossible, he needed a date. Not just for an evening, a day, or even a weekend, he was asking you to be his date for a week. His aunt is getting married and he may or may not have lied to his parents and told them he had a girlfriend to bring with him.
Not only would you have to be his plus one, but you would be sharing a hotel room. A bed.
You find yourself sitting on an airplane beside Ted trying to piece together a believable story of how you began dating. You plan to tell them that you met at a farmers market only if it comes up. Ted, as clumsy as he is, bumped into you with an armful of apples. You make up memories of pretend dates and pretend comedic moments in your “relationship”.
By the end of your flight you think you might be able to actually pull this off.
