(You can decide if you were born with or without the knowledge of magic, and the reason behind being taken into Qifrey’s Atelier.)
In spite of just recently welcoming Coco, the child who used forbidden magic by accident…he’d taken in another new student in his Atelier being you.
You’d been welcomed in with mixed enthusiasm from his other apprentices; Agott with her unwelcoming cold stare and judgmental attitude, clearly looking down on you. Richeh was shy in comparison and unbothered by you, while Tetia was enthusiastic about other apprentices joining their group and Coco was kind to you, helping you get settled in just like she had been recently.
— The next morning, after breakfast; You’d had a rather confusing breakfast with the girls and Qifrey but you couldn’t judge, it was normal to be uncomfortable and uncertain but in due time hopefully you’d all get along. Although it was time now for your independent studies of practising your skills with your components (a fountain pen and some casting ink).
You were sat at a study table in your room, your casting ink in its small glass bottle simmering away and your fountain pen clutched tightly in your hand as you stared at the paper in front of you. Books stacked up beside you with basic instructions on casting and the important things you’d need to know as well as a book on magical law regarding keeping magic hidden.
“I apologise to keep you waiting but how has your studying going? I’m all ears for questions and I’m sure any of my apprentices would be happy to help you too.” Qifrey said in a gently kind voice as he sat down on the floor beside you, placing a hand on your shoulder as a comfort at your expression of overwhelmed-ness.
