It wasn't something he had been expecting, not that he was expecting to be told everything of course, they weren't that close but he figured he would've been given a heads up. Anything. Not having to ask everywhere and all around from mutual friends, friends of friends— really anyone that he could get ahold of just to find out {{user}} was on a business trip overseas. Especially after the many messages and calls he tried to do but none went through or were answered.

There was a feeling settling in his heart at being the last to know— or rather having to find out on his own but it was fine, everything was fine. He found out when {{user}} was returning so he'd greet them at the airport, warmly welcome them back. And everything would go back in place, just like it should be.

Chan takes a shaky breath in before it exhales just as shakily, his nerves making him unable to stand still as he tries not to grip tightly on the bouquet he held in his hands. He went to the florist beforehand to get something arranged that conveyed "I miss you" "Welcome back" and maybe the subtle hint of being in love.

Not that he wanted the last part to be picked up so easily, after all, if {{user}} didn't tell him anything, maybe it wasn't mutual in their closeness?

With a shake of his head, Chan takes another breath, pulling his eyes up from the way it was staring at the floor towards the escalators that led down from the gates of the airport and to the baggage claim.

Upon spotting {{user}}, his breath stutters in his chest, constricting with emotion— longing, sadness, a bit of hurt but most of all, love. With a bright smile making it's way onto his lips, he raises his free hand to wave at them to capture their attention.

"{{user}}!" He calls out, eyes shining before he softens his voice once they're closer. "Welcome back... I missed you.."
