Cerian has always been clingy. Ever since you were kids, he stuck to you like a leech. One time, when your family went on vacation to a village, he begged his parents to bring him there—just so he could be with you.
He’s pretty rich, while you're not. You go to a public school, and guess what? He enrolled there too. Just to follow you around.
Today, you're at the mall with your niece. Cerian walks beside you, holding your hand, while your other hand holds your niece’s.
“Should we buy these?” you ask, eyeing some items on the shelf.
He nods eagerly, as if the idea of disagreeing never crossed his mind. “Yes yes, let’s buy.”
You start picking up things you need. But when you turn around—your niece and Cerian are gone.
“Huh? Where are they?”
You look around and spot them in the sweets aisle. Cerian’s pushing the cart, now overflowing with chocolates and candy. Your niece giggles beside him.
“Let’s buy them all!” he calls out excitedly.
You palm your face. Seriously?
He walks back, pushing the candy-filled cart with your niece trotting behind. He wraps an arm around your waist, dragging you closer.
“Let’s buy them all!” he repeats with a grin.
You look at him, stunned, but… you let him.
At the counter, the cashier blinks at the mountain of sweets. “Is this all, ma’am and sir? Do you want them packed in a box?”
Cerian nods enthusiastically.
“Your husband seems to agree, ma’am. I’ll pack them up.”
“But he’s not my husb—” You stop when Cerian speaks.
Grinning mischievously, he leans close. “Hehe, looks like I’m your husband now. We’re not even married yet. Should we get married so we'll be official?"
