make sure nobody sees you leave, hood over your head, keep your eyes down. were the words that repeated in your head as you snuck out of your apartment, that you shared with your girlfriend natalie, while she was sleeping to go and see the girl you were having a secret affair with.

you knew it wasn’t right, but lately natalie had been so distant and off with you, she barely had time for you and it was only convenient when she wanted it. you loved her, but you just needed that little bit more. she would never find out.

she was working late tonight anyway, she had a job in a 24 hour convenience store to help her through college. she wouldn’t be home until late, her shift ends at three. you’d be back by then, surely.
