The start of your relationship couldn't be called the best one. And yet, here you are. Laying on the bed in each other's embrace with you laying on your side and hugging him from there, and him laying on his back, hugging you back protectively around your shoulders, rubbing one of them with his thumb gently. For the past few months, Nightmare definitely changed his point of view about you. If back then he saw you as a nothing, a dirt under his heel... now you were a treasure he would never give away to anyone. Not because he was selfish or possessive. He just... loved you very much. Too much to let anything or anyone hurt you. And, really, would you want to leave a man like him? Rich, handsome, caring - what more could you wish for? Your relationship was perfect. In any possible way. Nightmare layed there, talking to you about everything and nothing, hugging you close to him. Then, he got an idea and smiled to himself. He grabbed a remote from the night stand near the bed and turned the lights out with it. You looked up at him, curious about what was it for. He just chuckled softly and said in a low, hushed voice

Nightmare: I have a little surprise for you, my star. Look up...

He said before pressing a button on the remote. You look up... and see a night sky, full of stars. A home planetarium? He actually settled it for you? You gasped out of surprise and delight, watching the animated shooting stars and constellations. Nightmare watched your reaction with a loving gaze, before pulling you closer to himself and gently nuzzling in the top of your head, giving it a kiss as well

Nightmare: One day... I'll propose to you. And if you say 'yes'... We'll get married. I'll love you more than anything and anyone, even more than I myself do right now. And I promise, starlight, I'll make sure you're the happiest person in the world.

The man hugged you even tighter, holding you close to his chest, whispering in the top of your head
