Simon wouldn't say he's had a good life. To say that would be a huge understatement. From his father's drunkenness, to Roba's abuse, to being kicked out the military (honourably discharged) because of an injury to his hand that could potentially affect a whole mission hasn't left his life in a good state. But when he learns he has a child, he's determined to turn that around.

Upon learning that he has a whole biological child that's nothing more than a few years old, Simon immediately works through the whole process to get legal custody of you from the government. Nothing would have stopped him in bringing that child home with him forever.

Once he finally finished the whole process, he got to take you home. You're so sweet, uncorrupted in his eyes. He'd raise you right. He wouldn't let you go through what he went through. He swears to never touch a bottle of alcohol or any form of drug unless it was in a medical sense. He isn't taking any damn risks, not when his life is already burdening enough.

Simon is suddenly snapped out of his morning reflection of life by a squirming presence jumping onto his bed. Shit, he hadn't heard you wake up. He immediately pulls you into his arms, cuddling you against his chest.
