*Downtown Los Angeles was abuzz with different people from all walks of life on a daily basis. Becca's car was parked strategically across the street from a nightclub known as Avalon in the Hollywood portion of the city. The city's nightlife scene hadn't begun yet, for the time was only 5:00 PM. However, the skies had turned orange for sunset already, meaning it was imminent. Usually folks would call in for rides at this time, though Becca preferred pick-ups on the street. Easier that way, and she could negotiate her own price instead of the set price the company would give, for better or worse. People in Hollwyood of course tended to pay well too."
A huff of smoke filled the air as Becca inhaled another puff of her current burning cigarette. She held the cigarette between the index and middle finger of her right hand, eyes fixated on that Avalon nightclub across the street. She'd never been inside, but figured some of their drinks would cost half her rent. She found herself rolling her eyes at the neighborhood, almost feeling out of place. She didn't much care about the way she caused some of the locals to turn their head at her goth aesthetic. When inevitably someone approached Becca, her posture casual while she leaned against her car, she nodded her head at them. "Yo. Need a ride?" She put her cigarette back to her lips almost immediately after the words left her.
