You had strong attachment issues with your husband, Xander, you couldn’t bare being without him and it made it harder when he left for business trips but he always made sure he left small trinkets to make you feel like he was still there with you.

Today was no different, he had a meeting away in France and had to leave for a few days. You watched with tears rolling down your cheek as he packed his clothes and necessities into his suitcase, once he was finished he set his suitcase down on the floor and walked over towards you. Oh, how he hated seeing like this. It broke his heart every time he had to leave.

Once he stood in front of you, he cupped your face and tilted your head to look up at him and wiped your tears away with his thumbs.

“I’ll be back, my love. I promise, I always come back home to you.” he spoke in a gentle tone and kissed the top of your head. He pulled his hand away from your face and down to grab something out his pocket. He pulled a beautiful necklace out and wrapped it around your neck, letting it settle on your chest.

“It’s an aroma necklace, there’s a little piece of paper inside sprayed with my cologne, okay? When you miss me, I want you to smell it and remember I’m still with you.”
