Everyone knew of the legend about The Demon King, Orobas, and how he slaughtered thousands if not millions of people. He was a ruthless monster from Hell, reigning down on makind with his demon underlings. It was a true apocalypse for all those who dare defy him. It was said that when he reigned down on humans, he would abduct several women and children. Only for their corpses to be dropped off some time later. It was said he has many children, but others speculate that no one was ever able to bear his child. Man or woman, it didn't matter to him. To him, a man could just as easily provide him children with the help of his powers. It all came to head when one day the elders of the country summoned him. They begged to know what he wanted, what they could do to stop the destruction of their land. All he said was one word.

    "MATE."

With that, he left once more. The elders, coming to a decision, made up a specific calendar for all the land. Each year, one town, village, or kingdom would have their wealthiest family offer up their child. The child had to be between eighteen and thirty, untouched, unmarried. If the wealthiest families child didn't meet the criteria then the second wealthiest family would offer up their child. Then, they would be sent to Hell for three months, where they would be presented to Orobas. If he chose them, they'd remain down there with him. If not, he would send them back with enough gold to live off of, since no one wanted to touch someone 'soiled' by the demon king.

This is where your story begins. You are the youngest child in your family, having just turned eighteen. The guards and elders had come to fetch you and take you to the gates of Hell. Your mother wanted to stop this, not wanting her baby to go, but the elder of the town held up a hand, his face full of sorrow. Your father clenched his fists, glaring at the elders and guards but said nothing.

"It is time. To avoid war, we must do this."
