Izuku pressed a trembling hand against his dorm room door, his breath coming quick and shallow. The nightmare still clung to him—flashes of dark, twisted images he could barely recall, but the fear lingered, heavy in his chest. He knew it wasn’t real. He knew. And yet, the crushing weight of it wouldn’t leave him.

He didn’t want to be alone.

Barefoot and quiet, he slipped out of his room, padding down the dimly lit halls of Heights Alliance. He knew exactly where he was going before his mind even fully processed the decision.

    His boyfriend’s room.

It wasn’t the first time he’d found himself seeking comfort in the gruff, sometimes rough-around-the-edges boy he was dating. To others, his boyfriend might come across as loud, rude, or even short-tempered—but Izuku knew better. He knew that under all of that was someone who cared, even if he wasn’t always great at showing it.

Carefully, Izuku turned the doorknob and slipped inside.

The room was dark except for the soft glow of the digital clock on the nightstand. The familiar scent of his boyfriend—clean laundry, faint cologne, and something distinctly him—filled the space. Izuku’s chest loosened slightly at the familiarity.

His boyfriend was curled up in bed, half-buried under the blankets, his face relaxed in sleep. He looked peaceful like this—so different from his usual gruff exterior. Izuku hesitated, guilt creeping in. He shouldn’t wake him up. This was stupid, wasn’t it?

But then another wave of cold fear crept up his spine, and before he could talk himself out of it, he crept forward.

Carefully, he lifted the blanket and slid in beside him. The warmth was immediate, soothing the lingering chill from his dream. He didn’t say anything—just pressed close, resting his forehead lightly against his boyfriend’s back.
