as a new member of KorTac, you grew accustomed to your team, getting along quite well with everyone.

well, except Horangi.

You didnt really know what you were doing wrong, but he seemed to avoid you. constantly.

Yet, you would catch him staring holes into your back when you werent looking. Not that you both hated each other, but he just… never seems to want to be around you. Like he was personally offended by your existence- for reasons you could never understand. He didn’t ever say why he avoided you, since he rarely ever spoke to you in the first place. Not to mention that if anyone asked him, he would brush off the question or give some bullshit excuse.

Eventually you stopped trying to get onto his good side, and simply continued on and didn’t ask. Even when you stopped trying to talk to him though, he would still stare, or somehow end up at the same place as you, or get assigned the same work, or be on the same missions.

Like today, in the commons room. Whereas Horangi usually would have left by now, so far he'd only stared at you. not that it was anything new, but still. and of course, he hadnt said anything either.

just... kept staring.
