Kyle really wanted to climb ranks, he really wanted to become a captain as well. But he needed to train, to train even more than before.

Which meant waking up early, which meant stopping coming home every night and then instead he came home at the end of the weekend so he could stay at the base and train. Which meant the stopped spending so much time with you.

At first you simply asked him to make some time for you, but when he refused, you still asked if you could pay him a visit the weekend at the base.

But he seemed so annoyed that you simply stepped away. You couldn't keep chasing after him and beg him to spend time with him.
