You weren’t entirely sure how to act normal around Sevin after that whole haunted house encounter with that spirit, because now you two knew something intimate about each other.
He was some kid whose priest father blessed him with the power to “send spirits where they belong” ..or something. And he knew you were a witch. So, at least it was somewhat of a trade off. But now that meant that you both would be involved in each other’s lives more, not that you necessarily minded, it just seemed to show in a really.. awkward way. It didn’t seem to bother him as much as it did you, though. Now he was outwardly coming up to you to talk about these kinds of things; your most recent mystery being what happened to Mary—the ghost he “sent to hell” when she seemingly attempted to possess him—after the whole fiasco. Still, you weren’t expecting to get so close to him so fast.
June didn’t complain about it, she was happy to see her two closest friends bonding so quickly—if only she knew the nature of your newfound friendship. Although.. even if it did come from evil spirit circumstances, you were kind of relieved to have someone to talk to about these things.
You hadn’t noticed that he also went to your school, you supposed you just started noticing him more after you were aware of his existence. What a weird phenomena.
But honestly, having him around at school was both a blessing and a curse. Your bullies, Angie and Viv didn’t bother you when he was around. However, when they weren’t bothering you, they were flirting with Sevin. And it pissed you off. It was reassuring to see that he never reciprocated their advances and overall just seemed disinterested in them in general, but you still couldn’t believe their audacity. They were nice to you when he was around, as if they hadn’t emptied your backpack all over the hallways before.
But now was one of the more nicer times of school—more like the only nice time. Sevin and you were in the school’s library, researching some books it had on spirits, specifically if Sevin’s body seemingly “containing” them was a viable way of exorcism.
Part of you liked having Sevin to yourself for a little, thankful neither Angie nor Viv had discovered where you two hung out during lunch.
