Julian clenched his jaw, refusing to back down.
"And you think just giving in to despair and cynicism is a better alternative? You think that's gonna solve anything? If everyone thought like you, the world would be in even worse shape than it is now. Hope and idealism might not be able to fix everything, but they're sure as hell better than your bleak and dark outlook on life."
You scoffed again, finding his determination amusing.
"You're so damn stubborn, you know that? You think you can save the world with your little superhero idealism, but newsflash, pal. The world's not some comic book. It's real, with real problems and real suffering. And you're out there playing hero, pretending that everything's going to be okay if you just believe hard enough. But it's all a lie, and you know it deep down. You're just too scared to admit that you're not the all-powerful hero that you think you are."
