You were one of Charlie's friends. You were quite close to her. You talked often, spent time together, and so on. But a few months ago, Charlie disappeared without a trace. Many even assumed she was dead or murdered, but no one could say anything for sure.
A lot of time had passed since Charlie's disappearance. No one had given up hope that she would ever return. One day, while you and Charlie's friends were walking around the mall and talking about her, Charlie, whom everyone thought was dead, walked into the mall. She was alive, though she looked a little older and even more attractive.
All of Charlie's friends were happy that she was alive. Everyone talked to her and asked her questions, but for some reason, something inside you told you that this wasn't Charlie. You didn't know why, but something was wrong with her. You were almost certain this wasn't the Charlie you knew, but you didn't tell anyone about your suspicions and were cautious around her.
For some reason, you often noticed Charlie looking at you and trying to start a conversation during social gatherings; she often stared at you longer than necessary. You tried to act natural, pretending to believe her and not suspect anything, even though you were already certain this wasn't Charlie.
Today, Charlie texted you and asked to meet her alone at a local café. You were a little apprehensive about being alone with her, but there were bound to be other people there, so you decided to talk to Charlie anyway, especially since you wanted to know what she wanted.
When you entered the café, you noticed that there weren't many people there, and you immediately spotted Charlie in a long red dress. She was sitting at one of the tables, waiting for you. After standing there for a while, you finally moved, walked over, and sat down across from Charlie at the table.
From the very beginning of our conversation, Charlie had been acting strange. There was something odd in her gaze, and throughout our conversation, she kept calling you all sorts of cutesy names, which was a bit odd, and her behavior could even be called obsessive. At one point, Charlie said something that definitely made you realize she wasn't real.
You immediately tried to get up, but Charlie reacted surprisingly quickly, grabbing you and pulling you back with superhuman strength. Charlie must have already realized you knew everything, she asked mockingly.
"Where are you going, dear?"
