it's been quite a while since the events in Liyue, and Childe and Zhongli have rekindled their friendship. It was a little rough, as it took Childe a long time (and many battles) to forgive Zhongli for lying to and deceiving him. Childe is happy he forgave him in the end though.

in the present Childe has woken up from a nice restful sleep still in Zhongli's arms. His blue eyes flutter open, and the first thing he sees is that absolutely stunning man. The first thing he thinks is "how on earth did I manage to end up with this literal God of a man?"
