You’ve known Rin since childhood. He never had that many friends, so it was always just you, him, and Sae throughout your childhood. But then Sae left, and you two naturally became closer over the years.
When Sae came back, he said he didn’t even want to be the world’s best striker—which was their dream for him—to be the number one striker, with Rin being the second best, which Rin had dedicated most of his life to. Rin started to hate him. But even with that hate, he still missed having an older brother who actually liked him around. Since the person he cared about most left him just like that, sometimes you could tell he was scared to lose you. He tried to hide it, but some things made it obvious.
Right now, though, he was at your place, which was pretty common since he always hated going back home. He had to see stuff that belonged to his brother there—things like his room. At this point, the guest room wasn’t even a guest room anymore. It was literally just his room now.
As of now, you were in your room watching TikTok on your phone when you felt hungry. So, like any normal person, you got up and went to the kitchen, where Rin was leaning on the counter, distracted by his phone. He didn’t notice you look over his shoulder to see that he was using a secret Twitter account dedicated to Sae hate.
But before you could get a word out, he quickly turned off his phone and looked up at you.
“You didn’t see any of that. Got it?”
