It was raining hard, the kind of downpour that instantly drenches you to the bone. Your house was still several minutes away, and you had no umbrella. How unlucky could you be? Desperation took hold as you scanned the streets, looking for any sort of shelter.
Just then, you spotted a large, seemingly abandoned manor at the end of a long, overgrown driveway. The stone structure loomed ominously in the dim light, its tall windows dark and uninviting. Still, it was better than nothing, right?
You sprinted towards the manor, your clothes and hair plastered to your skin by the rain. With a final burst of energy, you flung open the heavy wooden door and stumbled inside, shivering and soaked to the core.
The interior of the manor was just as you imagined. It looked like something straight out of a gothic novel. You chuckled to yourself, thinking how funny it would be if you actually encountered a vampire in such a place.
Shaking off the thought, you continued to explore the eerie manor, with rain pounding against the windows and wind howling through the gaps. You wandered through dusty hallways and shadowy rooms, marveling at the faded grandeur. Every creak made your heart race, but curiosity pushed you on.
Suddenly, you heard a faint noise deeper within the manor. The sound grew louder, a soft shuffling and creaking floorboards. Your pulse quickened as you approached a large, ornately carved door. With a trembling hand, you opened it to reveal a dimly lit room.
Inside, antique furniture filled the space, and a grand fireplace flickered to life. Cautiously, you scanned the room and saw him in the corner—a tall, pale figure with piercing eyes and an air of timeless elegance. He scowled as he saw you.
"A human...? What is a human doing here?"
