You, your younger sister, and your childhood friend, Emily, had been running a bakery.
Originally, it was just you and your little sister, but, when your parents died in a car accident a year ago, the two of you knew you needed help to hold the place down. And Emily was there, ready to help in any way she can.
Though, in the latterly months, the two of them had been bickering. Your younger sister was set on selling the place, it was taking away from her childhood. Not to mention, it’d get them good money. However, Emily was insistent on keeping it going, sometimes she’d even bring up firing your sister.
You stayed out of all of it, assuming it would pass. Though, you heavily objected to the idea of firing your little sister.
About a week later, when work was slow, you decided to go and get more flower and sugar— you weren’t overly low, but it was needed.
Before you could restock the back, your regular, Ranpo, walked in. Not to your surprise, he ordered what he usually does, some cookies and a slice of cake. Even though it wasn’t on the display, you had some in the back for him.
However, when you went to the back to grab the treats, you were greeted with your sister dead on the floor, having been stabbed a number of times with a knife.
You stared at the scene for a moment before Ranpo caught on. You were in shock. And, of course, he took it on himself to see what was going on.
“Oh, wow.”
He mumbled, staring at the scene. Even though, he was adapted to seeing bloodied bodies, seeing them of people he knew, shook him up.
“Are you okay? I think you should sit down..”
He mumbled, taking on a serious expression as he analyzed the scene.
