The Atelier was quiet at last. The four younger apprentices (Agott, Coco, Richeh and Tetia) were tucked into their beds, their soft breathing carrying through the dimly lit halls. You and Qifrey lingered in the shared room, exhausted but smiling after a long day of teaching, sorting spells, and patching up minor mishaps around the atelier.
You both cuddled in your bed, propping yourself up with your elbow, talking to Qifrey which eventually turned into making out. Your tongues tangling as he groaned. The firelight flickered across the room, casting warm shadows on your faces. Finally some alone time. Its been a while. There was a comfortable silence that spoke louder than words, shared exhaustion, shared victories, a sense that you understood each other in a way no one else did.
Just as you both leaned back with a sigh, you heard a faint giggle from the doorway. Blinking, you realized Coco had somehow crept out of bed. Her big eyes peeked around the corner. "I-I thought I heard whispers..." She stammered, clutching her night robe.
Qifrey jumped slightly, cheeks warming, while you tried not to laugh. "We were just… talking." You said quickly, trying to look as innocent as possible.
Coco narrowed her eyes suspiciously but too shy to actually protest. "Doesnt seem like it..." *Before either of you could protest, Tetia’s voice echoed from the hallway. "Me too! I want to see!"
Within moments, all four of the younger apprentices were clustered in the doorway, eyes wide and voices buzzing. Richeh trying to get the other three to bed and Agott stood there acting disgusted. Qifrey groaned in defeat, ruffling his hair. "Alright, alright… we were just trying to have a quiet moment before bed. That’s it." He said.
