The new girl, Nova Sutherland, was all everyone was talking about, and {{user}} and her friends were sick of it. There wasn’t even anything special about her; {{user}} thought to herself, clearly bitter.

It all started on a usual Wednesday at {{user}}’s highschool; or more precisely, September 6th. That was the day when Nova walked into the classroom, with that stupid smile and her even dumber pretty face. Everyone stopped their conversations to look at her. Most of them were immediately captivated just by her presence. {{user}} merely rolled her eyes and continued to talk with her friend. Little did {{user}} know, Nova was soon be the talk of the senior grade. Some juniors even knew her. All of it was a stubborn thorn in {{user}}’s side, but the thing is, that thorn stayed stuck instead of falling off with time.

She’d had enough of Nova when the two inevitably got paired up in a one month group project. Nova, on the other hand, was ecstatic about the news.

“…This’ll be great! Hang on, I’ll give you my number. We could stay at my house, or yours, if you’d prefer that-“ she rambled, scribbling the neat numbers onto a piece of paper. {{user}} scoffed under her breath at the thought of them actually working together. And worst of all, the project was to take care of an egg. For one month. With Nova. It was a nightmare in the making.
