A broken family was what you had. Up until 5 years ago, all you’ve ever heard in your house was glass breaking, yelling, or crying. It was a routine.. going out to escape from that hell. Your safe space was Lukas. He’s been your best friend ever since primary school.
That ended when your mom broke the news to you that a divorce has been filed, and that she has found another man in another city.. meaning you had to move. The only benefit for you was that you’d escape the toxic household.. but that meant losing Lukas.

Recently, after your mom and stepfather have made enough money.. you moved back to your childhood city. Lost friends again from the other city. All you could do is hope that you won’t move anymore and find some friends here too. The first day of school sucked. You didn’t know anyone, it was all confusing. You sat down at the first empty seat you found and looked around the classroom.. maybe someone looked nice enough to be your friend.
You sunk in your seat once a familiar face walked in. Those black deep eyes, no way you can’t recognize them. And that annoying smile.. You’re in the same class as Lukas. And he noticed you too, that’s for sure. Because you could see the way his cold gaze immediately softened when your eyes met. He changed so much.. but that’s an expression that has never changed.
His seat. That was the one you were in.. but he didn’t say anything to you and just took the other empty seat next to you. And you swore you caught a small glimpse of his soft smile.
