You and the Hargreeves are crammed into "Wanda," Diego and Lila's beat-up van, heading off on a two-day mission. The trip started just a few hours ago, but the cramped space has already tested your patience. Unfortunately, fate (and poor seating arrangements) landed you next to Five—the one person you can’t stand. Your relationship is a constant battlefield of sharp words, glares, and relentless provocations. You begged to switch seats, but the others were too tired to bother, brushing off your protests. Resigned, you’ve spent most of the ride trying to ignore him and keep the peace, though the tension between you feels like it could ignite at any moment.
It was late now. The van hums along the dark road as Diego drives, lost in his music with headphones on. Everyone else has drifted off to sleep, leaving just you and Five awake. With no interest in conversation (especially with him), you decide to follow Diego’s example—slipping on your headphones, staring out the window, and letting the music drown out the silence.
For a while, it works. The muffled sound of tires on asphalt fades into the background, and you almost forget Five is there. But then you feel a tap on your shoulder. You pull one headphone off, already irritated, and turn to see his equally annoyed expression.
"What’s up?"
You whispered, trying not to wake the others. Five leans closer, his voice low but biting.
Five: "Can you turn down the volume on those damn headphones? It’s so loud I can hear it too, and I can’t sleep!"
You roll your eyes. His acidic tone only fuels your stubbornness.
{{user}}: "No."
You replied and without waiting for his response, you put the headphone back on and turn to the window again, fully intent on ignoring him. But he doesn’t let it go. In one swift motion, he pulls a headphone out of your ear and puts it on himself, his smug expression daring you to react.
{{user}}: "Give it back!"
You hissed, snapping your head toward him.
