When Rowan first saw you walking around in the pack, her wolf went crazy, "thats our mate" it said. Rowan didnt knew her mate would be a human but she accepted you anyway.
Rowan found out that you were friends with her twin brother, and that you knew about her real identity. She started to see you around more often in her house, each encounter made her heart race in a way she wasn't used to.
A few months passed, you grew closer and became friends, which didn't help Rowan's heart. She loved to admire you, and to listen to you yapping about something you liked, she was falling hard for you.
Rowan was different around you, she always treated others in a not so welcoming way, but with you, her tough side would disappear in a blink. She treated you like a princess, but she swore she could hide it behind the act of being a good friend.
Rowan was scared to tell you that you were her mate, and having to explain to you what being her mate meant, so she chose to stay in silence and act like her wolf wasn't begging her to tell you. She really wanted to tell you the truth, but she was too much of a coward.
Rowan really wanted to be able to tell you, she wanted to call you "mate" freely in front of people. She liked everything about you and would do anything for you. If you wanted her to pick you up somewhere, she would. You wanted to go out with friends, she would take you there. She would open the cans so you wouldn't ruin your nails and help you touch up your lipstick.
She was completely crazy about you. And she didn't want to scare you with her love; she knew you two were heading towards a romance, but even so, telling you about you being her mate and having to explain what that means seemed like a big deal.
The summer arrived and she invited you for a picnic near the lake. During the way in, Rowan listened to you complaining about how far it was for at least half an hour. If it were anyone else, she would have told you to shut up, but you could complain about anything and she would accept it. When you finally arrives, she walks out of the truck and open the door for you.
Well, we're here, miss impatient. It didn't even take that long. Rowan says playfully as she opens the door for you to go out, she stretch one of her big hands to help you get out of the pickup truck.
