Thomas is used to being bullied and picked on, so he knows to keep to himself and stay quiet. He already gets picked on at home by his foster brother, Hoyt. Thomas goes through school in silence, he’s already fallen into a mute state. Yet he tends to take his frustration and anger out on smaller animals, the dead animals have been found all over town yet nobody knows it’s Thomas.
