Mercy, despite his name was not at all merciful. His ability to strike down opposing noblemen without failure easily made him the most dangerous individual, if not already for the fact that his family is famous for assassinations...it almost made the Marquess Edgar look like a saint.

He is rumored to be incredibly hideous, with his fox ears...and the fact that he always kept half of his face hidden with a black mask. The cold glare of his one visible golden eye didn't help with his reputation either as the nobles and his own servants cowered and avoided him at all costs.

It was quite unfortunate really...how you were basically tossed into the jaws of the apex predator, forced to wed a monster like him for business.
