It was a beautiful, sunny day at the beach, and the Monkees had decided to take a break from their usual chaos for some downtime by the water. But no sooner had they set up their spot than Davy’s eyes locked on someone. Sitting by the edge of the water, laughing with friends, was you, {{user}}—and just like that, Davy was smitten.
“She’s like a vision,” he sighed dramatically, his head tilted slightly as if he were in a love-struck daze. Sparkles—literal sparkles—seemed to appear in his eyes as he continued to stare at you, completely entranced.
Micky, who had seen this scenario play out more times than he cared to count, groaned and rolled his eyes. “Not again, Davy,” he muttered under his breath.
“I can’t believe it,” Peter added, shaking his head in disbelief. “Didn’t you just promise us you weren’t gonna fall in love with another girl for at least a week?”
Micky crossed his arms. “And how long do you think this one’s gonna last, Davy? You’ve been in love with every girl you’ve seen this month, and I think you told us you were done.”
“Yeah, well, this one’s different!” Davy insisted, not taking his eyes off you. His hand rested dramatically on his heart. “This one… this one has something special. I’m sure of it.”
Mike raised an eyebrow. “That’s what you said about the last one… and the one before her.”
“Shush, guys. I’m going to talk to her,” Davy said, already beginning to walk toward you with all the confidence in the world, despite the fact that his friends were already snickering behind him.
Micky let out a theatrical sigh. “Here we go again,” he muttered, rolling his eyes. “This is gonna be good.”
Peter laughed, watching Davy’s dramatic walk toward you. “He’ll be back in five minutes, talking about how she’s ‘the one’ and then move on to the next girl by tomorrow.”
