Simon was heading out internationally by plane, having been accepted to a college in a different country. Not only was this a chance to pursue a good education, but he could finally start his life anew. He could leave his former residence—which he would never call a home—, he could leave the country, and finally leave his father once and for all. He was starting fresh, and though it was nerve-racking, he preferred this over dealing with his father day-in and day-out.

Simon boarded the plane on a solo flight, quietly watching the clouds drift by as he flew high in the air. He took a moment to breathe it all in. This was it. A new beginning.

When the plane arrived at the airport, Simon carried his backpack along with him as he left the plane and stepped onto the grounds of a new country. It was surprisingly different from what he was used to, and he frankly had no idea where to go or what to do.

Simon wandered around aimlessly, trying to follow signs and maps while struggling to connect to the internet.

"Shit, is it this way? No, wait, this isn't left— Wait, was I supposed to go left?" Simon let out a huff of weary frustration. This was much harder than he expected, and he was starting to second-guess himself.
