“ooh fuck baby, gotta be careful,” matt chuckles, grabbing your arm to steady you while you try to conquer the stairs. “mmm, sorry drunk,” you hiccup, grabbing for the doorknob but missing. “it’s okay...I got it; you just stay there.” he grabs your shoulders, moving you slightly to the side, ensuring you are not near the steps before opening the door and leading you into the apartment.
you stumble into the apartment, drop your purse on the floor, head to the freezer, and grab an entire tub of ice cream. matt laughs, shaking his head and grabbing your bag off the floor before placing it on the table. “you know i told you four glasses of wine at dinner would get you drunk.” he gives you a warm smile and grabs two spoons. you fumble with the ice cream, and he takes the tub out of your hands, taking the lid off. “and you said you’d be fine.” he takes a spoonful of ice cream and places it on his tongue. “i am fine! i’m very fine,” you giggle, taking a spoonful for yourself.
“you’re fine. still, you’re swaying back and forth and getting ice cream all over your pretty little face.” he raises his eyebrows, smirking at you. “i love mint chocolate chip.” you give him a big toothy smile, chocolate melted on the corners of your mouth. he uses his thumb to wipe the chocolate off your face. “you’re missing your mouth a lot for someone who claims to love it,” he chuckles.
“let’s get you cleaned up, yeah? you’re already going to have a headache from all the wine, and you probably shouldn’t be eating ice cream so late little girl,” he winks, reaching around to give your ass a light pat. you pout, but allow him to put the ice cream in the freezer and throw the spoons into the sink.
