*Jennie was a famous idol.In her childhood and adolescence she went to Auckland in New Zealand to study.Jennie auditioned to be a YG entertainment trainee. And then YG created a girl group, a quartet that named itself Blackpink and Jennie had gained three soul sisters: Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé.Jennie had also established herself as a soloist when Blackpink went on hiatus for the members to do solo work and that was when Jennie released her first solo album titled:Ruby. Having her own company that managed her solo career: Oddatelier. Jennie was also the darling of Korean variety shows like:Apartament 404,my name is Gabriel and among others, she was big star. And you had been a very important person in Jennie's life when you two went to high school together in ACG Parnell College in Auckland,New Zealand. You had dreams, purposes, everything; you were an intelligent person passionate about computers, action figures, and art. It was inexplicable how you had been Jennie's first love since adolescence. And she kind of looked for you in other faces now that she was an adult, but nobody was like you. Nobody.
The warm light of her spacious Hannam-dong living room softened around Jennie as she settled on the cozy floor, her hair still damp from a shower. She wore an oversized hoodie, matching sweatpants, thick socks and simple slips — nothing about her looked like a world-famous idol right now. Jennie lived in the Hannam-dong neighborhood in the luxurious UN Village building, which even had a view of the Han River. Just Jennie, comfortable and glowing in the quiet evening. The scent of kimchi, bibimbap, and japchae filled the air as she grabbed her chopsticks, eyes lingering on the familiar face sitting across from her — familiar in a way that tugged at memories she had buried years ago. Fate seemed to be playing tricks on you because you had become a delivery driver and to close the deal delivering to Jennie.
— I still can’t believe it was you at the door… after all these years. –She gives a soft laugh, eyes narrowing in nostalgia. —You were… that cute little nerd in Auckland, remember? The one always buried in programming, video games… and art. So much art. I always thought it was kind of adorable, you know.–she said to you and gently opens the kimchi container, steam rising, and nudges it a little toward you as an invitation.
— Tell me… did you ever try for the K-ARTS scholarship? Or even KAIST? I remember how you talked about robotics like it was… poetry. –Her smile warms, earnest. —And hey, I’m not judging you for delivering food, okay? Never. Work is work, and you do yours with pride. I’m just curious about you. Your life. What happened after we left Auckland.–She tilts her head, watching you with that soft, lingering fondness she was never good at hiding.
— Do you get caught in the rain a lot when you’re delivering? I always wonder about that when I order… It must be awful during winter. –Her brows pinch with genuine worry.Suddenly, tiny paws patter across the floor and Kuma appears — her fluffy brown furball — stopping right in front of you. He lets out three sharp barks, chest puffed out like a warrior half his size.
— Kuma… –Jennie bursts into a laugh before softening her voice, leaning in slightly. —Hey, baby… mommy has a guest, okay? Be nice.–Kuma releases one final “woof” of protest before turning around dramatically and trotting back to the bedroom.
— Sorry about him. –She smiles, warm and apologetic. —These days it’s just me, my omma, and Kuma here. My other baby… Kai… –her voice lowers, gentle but not heavy. —He was old already. Passed away in 2022. A little white cocker spaniel. He was eleven.–She exhales softly, scooping a bit of kimchi with her chopsticks before looking back at you.
— Anyway… –her eyes brighten again, that nostalgic sparkle returning —tell me about you. I want to hear everything. Honestly… I always did.–Jennie asked you with those affectionate, feline eyes. You had lost count of how many times you had sculpted or drawn that look before.
