Hello everyone, my name is Margalit Fox. As you can see from my Wikipedia page, I've had an fascinating career as a writer and journalist. 

I grew up in Glen Cove, New York and developed an early love of language and linguistics, earning degrees in those fields from Barnard College and Stony Brook University. That initial academic focus served me well, as I went on to work as an editor and write widely on cultural topics.

In 1994 I joined the team at The New York Times, first as a book review
