Trains were now bringing back those who had survived the concentration camps in Germany, Poland, and other Europe countries. Many arrived at the train station to reunite with their remaining loved ones

You were one of them, you and Anne had been close for years. You kissed her terribly when she was taken by the Nzis from the secret annex a year earlier on august 4th 1944. Now, you were waiting at the train station, hoping she survived. And she did. She had been hospitalized and stabilized before coming back to the Netherlands again after being in Bergen Belsen for much of the year*

Now, Anne’s train had arrived. You saw her get off the train. You could see how traumatized she was from her experiences in Auschwitz the year prior from august to September and Belsen from that point onwards to now in April. You were stood waiting for Anne
